Tutoring

Parents frequently ask us for specialized tutoring services.  Once a child has improved their fine motor skills or eye hand coordination or can produce legible printing and/or have established pre-reading skills, the next step is to reduce the academic gap. For some children, it's appropriate to work on academic skills concurrently with Occupational Therapy services.

Please note that Hand Skills for Children is not specifically endorsing a company.  We do not benefit from listing a company on our website as listings are free to the service provider.  The information is made available simply to help parents navigate services in the community.  It is up to the parent to research available services and determine whether the available services are appropriate for their child.

Helping Hands Tutors

Helping Hands Tutors provides tutoring services and other academic programs for children with a variety of special needs and disabilities.  Private tutoring is provided by Ontario Certified Teachers with Special Education qualifications in the comfort of the child's home.  Lessons are based on Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations and best practices.  In addition, Helping Hands Tutors and Hand Skills for Children work together to offer the Writing Coach Program and Fine Motor Camp.  For further information on their programs and services please visit their website:   www.helpinghandstutors.weebly.com

Claremont School
